September Reflections - image 1594159023661183-802x1002 on

“God prunes us when He is about to take us into a new season of growth and expansion.” -Christine Caine

I have to admit that out of all of the months, September was the month that I was least looking forward to. It’s my birthday month and you KNOW I’m a Virgo Queen. This year’s birthday stung. Like a cut when put on your hand sanitizer. Moe celebrated my birthday. In fact, I didn’t start celebrating my birthday until I met him. So, this birthday was bittersweet. It reminded me of how much I missed him. It also reminded me of how precious life is, so I better not waste it!

Here are 3 things that I learned in September:

 1. It’s OK to accept help. I don’t have to carry the load alone.

2. Ruth Ginsburg’s death will affect us ALL. “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.”-RBG

3. Black Women STILL aren’t protected. “The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman.” -Malcolm X

What did you learn this month? September was HEAVY. Don’t forget to honor your feelings.

I Have declared that FALL is MY Winning Season. It has been for about 10 years.

Word of the Month: Celebrate

This Month’s Affirmation: I Am choosing to celebrate my wins
